Pastry Chef / Baker 

The Strandhotel has an independently operating pastry department that provides the pastry for all our restaurant concepts in Cadzand plus the Strandhotel. Such as homemade viennoiserie, pralines and chocolate bars for the Strandhotel, classic cuisine inspired desserts and mignardises for our luxury brasserie Beach Boy Restaurant, cakes for Beach Boy Terrace and mignardises and desserts for Dining Forty Nine.

About you

  • You are creative in devising solutions and enjoy thinking along with us about further perfecting the quality and efficiency of the confectionery.
  • You have a ''hands-on'' mentality an eye for detail, both for your work and that of your colleagues.
  • You are enthusiastic, passionate and eager to grow in your profession.
  • You are flexible, have a 'hands-on' mentality and like to roll up your sleeves.
  • You remain calm and focused, even under pressure.
  • You work independently and in a team under the lead of our Chef Patissier.

Responsibilities

  • Mise en place.
  • You make products for patisserie, bakery and chocolaterie.
  • You place orders with suppliers and check their delivery.
  • You keep an eye on order and tidiness in the kitchen.
  • You ensure that the safety, working conditions and HACCP regulations always comply. 

Working days

Full time. Working days and hours in consultation.

Start date

Immediately.
